Michael Jordan is engaged to girlfriend, Yvette Prieto. The former NBA star proposed to Prieto after dating her for over three years. This will be the second marriage for the athlete, presumably the first for his fiance.
Prieto is a Cuban-American model and she said "yes" to Jordan's proposal which occurred over the Christmas holiday. Michael Jordan's engagement has been confirmed by his rep (via PEOPLE Magazine). At 48-years-old, he has decided to give marriage another go.
Jordan has three children with his first wife, Juanita, whom he divorced in 2006 after 17 years of marriage. It is unknown if he and Yvette Prieto are planning of starting a family together, but as far as the public knows, she has no children of her own. All of Jordan's kids are grown (the youngest is 19), but does he want to "start over" this late in life? Only time will tell.
The two will more than likely be married in 2012.
