A Michael Jackson video posted on YouTube last week was a hoax perpetrated by RTL, a major German television station.
Shakily shot like contrived surveillance footage, the video shows someone dressed in black
escorting a Jackson-coiffed clone out of the back of a white coroner van into a building in an underground garage.
Tom Mason, Ed Wood's chiropractor/stand-in for Bela Lugosi in Plan 9 From Outer Space (1958), was more convincing.
RTL's Heike Schultz didn't seem surprised by the response: "We wanted to show how easily users can be manipulated on the Internet with hoax videos. Therefore, we created this video of Michael Jackson being alive, even though everybody knows by now that he is dead, and the response was breathtaking."
Not to mention depressing--it's fairly well confirmed Jackson is dead, though had yet to be buried when the video was released.
Schultz suggested to the Associated Press that a live celebrity might have complicated the media experiment: "We didn't want to dishonor Michael Jackson, but we needed a strong name to get this
experiment going. Had we used Britney Spears, then the fans of Britney would have complained."
As of today, the video has received 1.5 million hits and counting.
A few years ago Ann Drufell wrote a book entitled, "How to Defend Yourself Against Alien Abduction." She may be on to something--the Jackson video suggests aliens might be harvesting human brains and replacing them with decaf coffee grounds.

Schultz is the person involved in MJ's Concert Promoters 'AEG'!???

And as the last poster wrote, I wouldn't be surprised either, if another fake one of anything could have been made to cover up The *REAL* One!!!
