The fans are enjoying Michael Jackson's 'This Is It' and the numbers speak to that fact. For a documentary, the film has done incredibly well in its first two weeks since its release. The film is now up to $185 million worldwide, and is on its way to the $250 million dollar mark.
According to showbiz411, a source said, "It’s conceivable that it’s on its way to $250 million." The 'This Is It' companion album has sold 500,000 copies.

Been a fan for over 35 years!! Have the companion album and plan to see the movie for the 5th!!! time this sunday. I can't get enough. And of course I am buying the DVD.
This Wednesday is the 5th time I will watch it. I'm already pre-order the DVD. Does not have the companion album.
I knew the documentary was going to be a hit even if it was comprised of rehersals...no surprise there. We are talking about Michael Jackson here, the most beloved entertainer around the world. I have seen it twice and will go to see it for a couple of more times before its run ends. I also have the companion album and already preordered the DVD. He is simply the greatest!!!
I normally listen to a differnt style of music but I grew up on MJ music and his death has broke my heart in such a way that I've listened to his music every day.
I preordered my ticket and saw the film on day two of it's opening. Due to my own busy schedule I haven't made it back but each day I hope to find time. I will make it at least once more while it's in the theatres. This is the first time in my life that I've seen a movie more than once. I pre-ordered the DVD the day after I saw the film, which is also a first. I order the album before I saw the movie and listen to it daily - another first. I've never purchase an album based solely on a movie or song. It has been money well-spent. RIP Michael. We love you more.
i LOVE the movie and the companion album! over the weekend, i watched TII for the 3rd time...this time with 10 family members raging from ages 9 through 70! we ALL were knocked out by it (as was the audience, given all the clapping, tapping, laughing, tears). for me, it just gets better and better (and i NEVER watch a movie twice at a theater). MJ is the KING...and what an incredibly kind soul he always was. love you more, MJ.

(I'm a Star Wars super-fan too & I watched those movies in 3-digit figures.) I want to memorize THIS IS IT so I can replay it in my head when it's gone fm. the theaters until the DVD comes out. The 1st couple weeks I watched it 4x/day. I'm tapering off 3x/day this wk., 2x/day next wk., then 1/day until it's gone.
Have the companion album. Am collecting almost everything MJ, incl. pre-ordering DVD. It helps that my kids are grown up & we've got a good family income, otherwise I wouldn't be able to do this.
