Michael Jackson IMMORTAL update

To recap my previous article on the subject, Cirque du Soleil just announced that their new Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL world tour will premiere at the end of next year 2011, and tickets are on sale now.  The show will be a rock concert-style show and it is designed to be as if MJ is back on stage himself.

Earlier today the Cirque du Soleil website was down, but it seems to be back online now.  If you haven't already, you should proceed to the Michael Jackson IMMORTAL tour page to learn more about the show and buy your tickets because, as I mentioned, they are expected to go fast!

Based on the info on the website, it seems the tour will actually begin in Canada October 2, 2011 and then continue to the US in Seattle, WA starting November 9, 2011.  The December 15th date mentioned in the Daniel Lamarre interview may have just been referring to when the show will be in Las Vegas.

Only CirqueClub members and MichaelJackson.com subscribers will be able to purchase their tickets from now until November 5th, when tickets go on sale for the rest of the public.  A whole year is a long time to wait to see a performance, but given that it is a show which hopes to mimic the legendary tours MJ had when he was alive (and the most expensive touring Cirque show to date!), it does seem appropriate to start sales this long in advance.
