Thursday afternoon at Grauman's Theater in Los Angeles; Prince Jackson, Blanket Jackson and Paris Jackson the children of Michael Jackson appeared at Hand and Footprint ceremony of the famous singer. The 'King of Pop' is now immortalized along with other famous celebrities in the Walk of Fame. The handprint and footprints were created with items belonging to Michael Jackson.
Paris used a sequined glove from her dad to put into the cement. The brothers used shoes to make the foot imprints for the Hollywood Star. Paris, Prince and Blanket all left their handprints on the cement block set in front of Grauman’s Theater. This cement memorial will keep the memory of Michael Jackson and his children alive forever.
Tito Jackson said, "Michael we miss you, that's for sure, there is hardly a day that goes by without him going on in my mind somehow someway and I know that he is here today with us."
There was also an unveiling of a recently discovered cement block with Michael's hand and footprint complete with autograph. The block was made in 1994, in preparation for a Walk of Fame in Las Vegas. The project never materialized. The block will be placed with today's hand and footprint - in front of the Grauman's Theater.
The ceremony seen in the video to the left gives highlights of the ceremony including performances by Justin Bieber, Glee, and Cirque Du Soleil show "Immortal." MTV has outlined special details of the performances and upcoming events. For some it was difficult to see the clips of Michael as a child performing with the Jackson 5. The nostalgic memories are heightened with the montage of Jackson growing up singing "Blame it on the Boogie" with the clever photography of the shoe beating out the rhythm.
