Michael Jackson will be celebrated by a ceremony at Hollywood's Grauman's Chinese Theater on January 26, 2012, according to an announcement made by his brother Jackie Jackson on January 5, 2012. Jackie Jackson made the announcement via phone to Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Access Hollywood Live.
The Estate of Michael Jackson announced that the pop star will be immortalized in a hand and foot ceremony at the legendary Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood. The ceremony will be held on January 26 at 11:00 a.m. The event will be M.C.'d by Access Hollywood anchor Billy Bush.
Jackson's children, Prince, Paris and "Blanket" will use their father's sequined glove and shoes to make impressions in the cement in the forecourt of the theatre. The event is produced by the Estate of Michael Jackson, John McClain and John Branca.
Jackie Jackson said that his brother loved Grauman's Chinese Theatre and the stars on the sidewalk on Hollywood and spent a lot of time there, so he would love this celebration.
The ceremony will be streamed live via Twitter @michaeljackson with additional photos and live coverage tweeted from Twitter's music channel @twittermusic.
The Cirque du Soleil production of Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour will debut in Los Angeles on the following day. The production will be at Staples Center in Los Angeles on January 27-29, 2012.
