Jace has been taken into custody and booked on murder charges in Los Angeles after he allegedly shot and killed his wife April Jace when she returned home with the couple's two young children, both under 10.
News reports reveal that Michael Jace killed his wife while the couple two children watched, then phoned in the 911 call himself stating, "I shot my wife."
911 phone calls began ringing in from the Hyde Park neighborhood with reports of gun shots around 8:30 p.m. Monday night.
Officers arrested Michael Jace and took him to the station for questioning.
It is also revealed that Jace's two children, who were extremely devastated by witnessing their mothers murder were also taken to the police station to await the arrival of Children's Services.
Officer's have expressed anger that Children's Services took around four hours to arrive to the station to pick up the children and take them to a trusted relative's care where they could be properly comforted.
Michael Jace is best known for his role on “The Shield” as Detective Lowe.
So far, no further details about the shooting have been released.
