Taylor Swift is known for making the dating rounds through Hollywood and then coming out with new songs and albums dedicated to those that she is no longer with. After a joke was made at the Golden Globes about Swift dating Michael J. Fox's 23-year-old son, Fox gave his thoughts to Vulture on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, about the star dating his son and his message was clear: "Back off!"
Tina Fey dropped a one-liner at the Golden Globes telling Swift to "stay away from Michael J. Fox s son." The joke made the rounds online, and many were talking about the comment, but were curious as to Fox's thoughts about his son Sam.

On Wednesday, Fox was at a book party for Ann Leary's "The Good House" and Vulture asked Fox what he would think of Swift dating his son, Sam. The conversation that followed was classic and hilarious.
"No. No ... Just back off," Fox said. "I don't keep up with it all. But Taylor Swift writes songs about everybody she goes out with, right?"
"Right," they replied.
"What a way to build a career," Fox said.
It was then that the interviewer asked Fox how he would react if Swift showed up to a Fox family dinner.
"I wouldn't even know who she was," he said, before agreeing it would dawn on him when the eventual breakup song hit the radio. "'Sam, You Piece of S--t.' Oh … that was the girl you brought home!"
