Loveable Michael J. Fox dissed lovable Taylor Swift after a Tina Fey joke at the Golden Globes and now the actor has apologized according to omg! on Jan. 20.
The trouble started when Fey quipped at the Golden Globes that Swift should stay away from Fox’s son, Sam. When asked if the two were dating by New York Magazine’s Vulture, the elder Fox denied it and went on to say he wouldn’t even recognize Swift if his son brought her home.
That’s not so bad but what he said next rankled fans.
"I don't keep up with it all," he said. "But Taylor Swift writes songs about everybody she goes out with, right? What a way to build a career."
Today however, Swift was all peaches and cream over the matter, tweeting to the world:
"Hey everybody, Michael J. Fox got in touch with me today and we are good. Thank you for having my back."
It would seem the two have made up and all is well between Fox and Swift. We doubt this means Taylor and Sam will be dating anytime soon but one never knows.
Was Michael J. Fox’s comment really that awful that it warranted an apology? What do you think?
