According to Comic Book Movie on Jan. 11, actors Michael Fassbender, Hugo Weaving, and Adam Driver are celebrities rumored to be part of the "Star Wars 7" saga. Director J.J. Abrams, who also worked on "Star Trek Into Darkness", is continuing George Lucas' work on this huge franchise. At this point, the aforementioned actors are just being considered for the roles.
As far as characterizations, there will attention brought to Obi-Wan Kenobi's child and two sources stating that Weaving may be considered for a role as an Imperial commander. Also, there was news recently about Breaking Bad's Jesse Plemmons meeting with Abrams for consideration as well.
Also, screenwriter Michael Arndt, was taken away from partaking in the writing role in the film thus resulting in an adjustment in the actors that would work well with the corresponding "Star Wars" characters. Even a role in the movie that had originally had a 20-year old character was re-written to accommodate for a newly chosen 40-year old. Also, The Hollywood Reporter added something in regards to the appearance of the replacement character.
"The latest bit to surface this week is that Abrams and Lucasfilm are now searching for a 20-something female actress who is either of mixed race or black. The rumor is that Obi-Wan Kenobi had a daughter or granddaughter".
Now, it appears that in lieu of Arndt's material being changed around, it appears that Abrams now wants to focus on the classic trio of Princess Leia, Han Solo, and Luke Skywalker all of which are even being played by Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, and Mark Hamill.
