State of Florida vs Michael Dunn: Friday, February 7, 2014 - Day 2, Room 406. A lottery is conducted daily for courtroom attendance. Different colored armbands are given out daily. Every day the judge would highlight the rules that were to be upheld in the court. The 16 person jury is composed of an interesting group of individuals.

1:05 p.m. – Leland Brunson 18-yr.-old student attends Wolfson HS, lives with his mother and was in the same grade as Jordan. They were neighbors, best friends and spoke to each other every day. Neither boys owed a car. They went to the Towncenter to go ‘girl shopping’. Most of his testimony was the same as Kevin Thompson’s, the previous witness.

Brunson was the one who was sitting next to Jordan Davis. Jordan had both hands visible & had a cell phone in his right hand. Brunson also confirmed that Dunn was still in his car when the first shots were fired. When Leland touched Jordan – blood was on his fingers & Jordan was gasping for air.

Brunson chose between two photos in which to identify Dunn. After the music got turned back up, words could not be understood. A couple tears welled-up in Brunson’s voice when he was asked if he missed his friend.

Leland stated that Jordan said, “I’m tired of people telling me what to do”. Because Leland was concerned about his best friend, he was not aware of any other confrontations. Child locks were both on the rear doors and windows; so Jordan could not leave the vehicle.

After Jordan’s death, Leland Brunson & Kevin Thompson went over to Ron Davis’ house (Jordan’s Dad). There were only hugs & tears, but never a conspiracy to change their testimony. Nothing had been removed from the SUV except to take the body of his friend out. Brunson’s mother was present during all questioning and she never tried to get Leland to lie.

2:00 p.m. – Approach to the bench. (Every time the lawyers go to the speak with the judge, there is ‘white noise’ throughout the courtroom).

2:10 p.m. – Jury and all lawyers leave the courtroom. There are 4 attornys for the prosecution and 2 for the defense. There will not be a hearing this Sunday and the jurors are still in sequestration.
