ROYAL CONCERNS ON MICHAEAL DOUGLAS' CANCER
After being honored by Prince Charles as a special Commander of the British Empire, Zeta-Jones was asked by the Royal Highness about Michael Douglas' cancer. Getting an update, she confessed that while she feels relief from the tumor being gone, shortly after Douglas' public news he had been diagnosed with throat cancer, she still feels the need to be protective.
CATHERINE ZETA-JONES: "OBVIOUS" ROYAL FAMILY QUESTIONED MICHAEL'S HEALTH
"Obviously we talked about Michael," ContactMusic.com quoted the actress as saying. "The last time I saw His Royal Highness, Michael had just got his treatment so he was concerned, but he was very happy to hear that he's well on the road to recovery."
"THE TUMOR IS GONE...THE PAST YEAR HAS TESTED US"
She adds, "His recovery is going great and the tumor is gone. It's the beginning of another road, but it is a better one. The past year has tested us."
DOUGLAS FAMILY LOOKING FORWARD TO ROYAL WEDDING
After being pinned with CBE honors, Catherine told The Daily Mail she planned on putting the ribbon next to her Oscar and BAFTA awards. In addition to sharing in joy for the upcoming Royal Wedding, she's most grateful for Douglas' healthy presence at her side.
CATHERINE: "IT WAS WORTH IT TO HAVE MICHAEL IN GOOD HEALTH"
"I'm very patriotic and I can't wait for the Royal Wedding," she said. "It means a lot to come home with my family and to be honored in this way - very emotional, rather nervous I must say, and it was worth it to have Michael in good health to be able to enjoy it [with me]."
