Michael Douglas attended the Deauville American Film Festival wearing his wedding band. When asked if his marriage was over, Douglas said he was confident that he and wife of 13 years Catherine Zeta-Jones would be able to work things out.
In France promoting his theatrical release of the Liberace biopic, “Behind the Candelabra”, Michael Douglas spoke to the UK Sunday Mirror who asked him about saving his marriage. Douglas smiled really big and said, “Of course [they could save their marriage]. People have been kindly asking how I’m doing.”
“Well I put on a suit tonight, one I can’t come close to buttoning, so everything must be okay.”
Douglas’ rep had previously confirmed that the high profile couple had taken a break from marriage and were spending time apart. As the front runner to win an Emmy Award later in September for Candelabra, speculation runs rampant as to who will be his escort up the red carpet.
