UPDATE: Michael David Elliot has been caught after escaping from the Michigan Correctional Facility in Ionia.

Michael David Elliot, a quadruple-murderer, has escaped from a Michigan Correctional Facility in Ionia, according to a Yahoo! News report on Monday morning. The escapee apparently escaped through a hole in the fence at the facility, as a hole was found on the grounds of the correctional facility after the escape was discovered by officials. It is believed that Elliot made the whole in the bottom of the fence.

During the escape, Elliot allegedly abducted a woman in Michigan who eventually got away. He obtained the woman’s car and drove to Indiana. The abduction of the woman happened with Elliot in possession of a knife or a box cutter. He was reportedly in Elkhart, Indiana, buying gas some 130 miles south of where he escaped. That is where the woman was able to escape.

Elliot is described as being 40-years-old with brown eyes and brown hair. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 165 pounds. He is currently serving four life sentences after having killed four people on Aug. 8, 1993.
