Gawker and PopEater have reported that Transformers director Michael Bay has posted on his website's blog that he is offering a $50,000 reward for information that may lead to the arrest of a girl that was caught tossing innocent puppies into a river to drown them in a recent YouTube video that has outraged the Internet community, as well as her acccomplice that was videotaping the autrocious act.
Bay is a known animal lover and in fact living with two Bullmastiffs, Bonecrusher and Grace which he often includes in his films.
PETA has issued a similar reward for the unknown girl in a red sweatshirt, in the amount of $20,000.
Police are currently looking for the woman, who is believed to be living in Bosnia; however the mangers at the message board site 4chan have already claimed to have identified her. soon after, a supposed apology video by said girl had surfaced, but it has yet to be confirmed whether this was indeed the same girl seen on the heated and controversial video.

This girl is young and most likely knows no different in a country that probably can't afford to spey their animals. I doubt she owned the dog who had the litter, it was most likely her uneducated parents.
The video was wrong, but what is more wrong is the death of these little puppies.
The real issue here is responsibility awareness, in the way people keep and breed animals.
If you have so much money Mr. Bay, can you put it towards all animal cruelty awareness, the main current issue being factory farming and the killing of dogs for human consumption.
Perhaps you are unaware, as most people are, but who how do we choose which animals we can be cruel to?
In my opinion, we should not be cruel to any.
We can farm cattle, give them lives and eat them, without all the horrors.
We can have fur, at the end of an animal's life.
We can educate dog owners and help them to spey, in countries where they cannot afford to do so.

Michael Bay should use that money to build some animal shelters in Bosnia instead. Bosnia is not a very wealthy country and doesn't have the same luxury to be able to have those facilities everywhere and have them staffed. Putting a bounty on a girl's head is dangerous and pretty archaic.
I agree with you. Then, they can teach these young naive kids about animal responsibility and the value of life.
I can only partly agree with you, if it's a money problem leading to her having to kill the dogs, you can't avoid controversy when throwing them into a river, let alone filming it and posting it on the internet.
She deserves what is comming to her.

People eat animals out of necessity, they eat them cause they taste great and people are selfish. So don't go around saying that you're an animal lover just cause some girl chucks a few puppies in a river.
