Michael Bay is hard at work on "Transformers: Age of Extinction," but he came into some trouble on the set recently. SuperHeroHype reported on Oct. 17, 2013, that director Michael Bay was actually attacked and injured on the set of the film in Hong Kong this past week.
Two brothers, aged 27 and 28, came up to Bay on the set of "Transformers 4" and started speaking with him. The younger brother demanded payment of HK$100,000 ($12,900). There is no word at this time as to why they requested the money.
While the conversation went on, the older brother walked up and attacked Michael Bay. That same brother then proceeded to assault three police officers that attempted to intervene.
At that point, the younger brother was arrested on suspicion of blackmail and assault. The older brother was arrested suspicion of assault. A third person on the scene was also arrested and an investigation is ongoing.
Michael Bay did sustain injuries to the right side of his face in the attack, but refused to seek treatment for it. A spokeswoman for the police did not believe Bay's injuries to be serious and said that filming continued immediately after everything settled down.
No-one on the set of "Transformers: Age of Extinction," including Michael Bay, would comment on the situation.
