Miami triathlon under wet weekend weather

Get ready for race weekend as we can enjoy one of Miami’s premier Triathlons: Escape to Miami! Headquartered at Margaret Thatcher Park, this race will be stretching across the MacArthur and Julia Tuttle Causeways on Sunday morning. As for the weather, it looks like this weekend will be hot and steamy… otherwise known as a typical Floridian summer.

Despite the onslaught of cool air and fall colors in the north, in south Florida the summer is continuing on as strong as ever. Friday the high will be 90 F with lots of the sun in the morning, followed by scattered, brief downpours during the afternoon. These showers will continue through the evening so make sure to keep an eye on the sky before going out and enjoying some of the cooler weather Miami has to offer. The low Friday night will be 76 degrees, and skies will be partly cloudy after 8 o’clock.

The low Friday night will be 76 degrees.

Saturday the temperatures will continue to reach from the upper 80’s to the near 90 degrees by late afternoon. Once again showers will be passing through the area late Saturday afternoon through the evening, but will be done once the sun begins to set, making for ideal weather to go out and enjoy the predicted 76 degree low.

Sunday morning, also known as race morning, temperatures will be starting off in the mid-seventies, with high humidity, but no rainfall is expected making for good spectating conditions. This will be good for the football game with the Jets coming into town to face the Dolphins as well. Sunday will continue to be warm like both Friday and Saturday, but the chance of rain will diminish, and only a few showers are expected to be over the area.
