Miami Township Police in Clermont County are investigating the suspicious murder of resident Paul Leiter, 65. He was found murdered in his home from gunshot wounds. Police believe that he died yesterday morning.
Ann Abele, Leiter’s wife found him sitting in a chair covered in blood. Police located evidence outside the window confirming that someone had shot Leiter from outside a window.
Chief Steven Bailey said he would like to meet with anyone who may have seen or heard anything. Chief Bailey asked that residents not be alarmed. He also said he would increase the police presence in the neighborhood. Friends and neighbors said Leiter cared for a popular bike trail and was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Loveland, Ohio.
The police haven't charged anyone with the crime.
