Miami Heat rumors have Dwyane Wade returning to the starting lineup against the Oklahoma City Thunder. These Miami Heat rumors come as the team prepares for what could be a preview of the 2014 NBA Finals. According to a report from Tuesday night (Jan. 28), coming off the bench against the San Antonio Spurs was actually his idea and not something that will be in place for the rest of the season.
Speaking about what has taken place, the NBA All-Star Game starter stated, "I asked Spo to take me out as a starter that one game, but I didn't ask him to do it the whole year. So we can stop that conversation." As for how the game went when he came off the bench, he finished with just eight points on 3-of-8 shooting and played 24 total minutes.
Injury concerns have really limited his time on the court this season and he has already missed 13 games. That has been a pretty big burden on the team, but when he has been able to play, most of the time he has been very effective. Through 31 games this season, he is averaging 18.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.7 assists.
Fantasy basketball owners should feel safe starting Dwyane Wade on Wednesday night (Jan. 29), especially because the team will likely rely on him to put up some good numbers. Expect these to also be the last Miami Heat rumors about whether Wade is going to remain in the starting five or come off the bench this year.
