Join NBA champion Dwyane Wade in Houston as he hosts an All-Star NBA event in Houston. This two day event begins with a father and family discussion panel and ends with a fundraising event to benefit Wade's World Foundation and Houston Early Age Risk Testing and Screening.
Fatherhood & Family Panel Discussion
“Being a father to my boys is something I take very seriously,” said Dwyane Wade in a recent press release. “This event will bring us together with a unified goal to voice the significance of fatherhood and family and help further my continued efforts with the Wade’s World Foundation and its mission.”
Miami HEAT Champion Dwyane Wade together with Pastor Joel Osteen and New York Knicks Assistant General Manager Allan Houston will host a Fatherhood and Family Panel Discussion. The panel will be moderated by Soledad O’Brien and Pastor Carl Lentz. Former NBA player Etan Thomas will also participate in the panel discussion. Addressing the fatherlessness issue across the country and continuing their commitment for change, the panelists will discuss the importance of fatherhood and family.

Dwyane Wade’s All-Star Luncheon to Raise Money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Houston Early Age Risk Testing & Screening
In an effort to give back to Houston, the host city for the 2013 NBA All-Star festivities, Dwyane Wade will host a luncheon to raise money for the Wade’s World Foundation to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Houston Early Age Risk Testing & Screening (HEARTS). Special guests will include Gabrielle Douglas, Yao Ming and Kelly Rowland. The celebratory luncheon will also honor the 10 years of service that Dwyane and the Wade’s World Foundation have provided to communities all across the country.
