The Miami Fashion Week organization hosted the 4th annual Humanitarian Awards on February 7, 2013 at the Mondrian South Beach Hotel, located in Miami Beach.
This year, the Humanitarian Awards honored seven of Miami's most dedicated and respected philanthropists, including: Jerry Libbin (Commissioner of Miami Beach), Luis Fonsi (Singer), Alex and Cynthia Rodríguez, Mercedes Carlson, Kimberly Bacardi (Philantropist), Raúl Alarcón, and Eduardo Marturet (Director of Miami Symphony Orchestra).
The fashion event also honored three of Miami’s top designers such as Nicolas Felizola, Julian Chang and Viviana G for Petit Pois with the "Miami Fashion ICON Award.”
The hit of the night was the luxury silent auction to benefit Miami Fashion Week Foundation with irresistible items from Tiffany & Co., Lisu Vega, Elements Spa in Boca Raton, PRP Wines, Maria Hamilton Designs, Boca Tanning Salon, Amanda’s & Moore (Marzio Fiorini’s design), Chef Jackie, and Boca Raton Resort, a Waldorf Astoria Resort, among others.
The best dressed of the night were: Athina Klioumi de Marturet, wearing a dress by Silvia Tcherassi; Kimberly Shenker-Bacardi with a black dress by Basix Black Label, Zurami Pascual with a red dress by Diane Von Furstenberg-Private Couture Collection, Solange Kiener dressed by Viviana G and Beth Sobol wearing a stunning gold dress by Samy Gicherman Couture.
Miami Fashion Week will celebrate its 15th anniversary at Miami Beach Convention Center on March 20-24, 2013.
