February is filled with fun-filled activities and great ongoing events that are taking place in Miami. The magic city has a lot to offer this month.
February’s activities started off at the Miami Beach convention center, located at 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach (305) 673-7311. The convention center hosted its annual antique show on Feb. 1- 4 and will host the Progressive Insurance international boat show from Feb. 14 – 18. The fleet will feature eco-friendly boats, kayaks, paddle boats, standard and luxury vessels from various local and international sellers.
Feb. 1 – 28, Nader fine art gallery located in the heart of Miami’s art district in mid-town, 62 NE 27 Street, Miami – (305) 576- 0256 is presenting a one-of-a-kind show featuring a collection from various notable artists – Klein, Picasso, Duchamp, Warhol, Dali, Lichtenstein, Bacon, Basquiat and many others.
Feb. 1 – 28, Miami-Dade Government Center in downtown Miami, 111 N.W. 1st Street, Miami, is presenting an exhibit commemorating black history month. The exhibit features timeline memorabilia from African-Americans who have contributed to the enrichment of the African-American culture.
Feb, 16 – 18, Coconut Grove art festival a three-day street celebration to take place at Cocowalk – 3015 Grand Avenue, Coconut Grove. The festival celebrates all art disciplines, visual, culinary, arts and crafts, performing arts, music and dance.
Feb. 14, Deering Estate historic mansion and gardens, will offer a special Valentine’s Day moonlight concert under the stars, featuring guitarist and song writer Allan Harris. The historic mansion is also hosting its annual festival of the arts through Feb. 24.
Feb. 27 – 28, Vizcaya museum and gardens located at 3251 South Miami Avenue, Miami – (305) 250-9133 will have moonlight tours of the gardens, with live music and delicacies from its very own exquisite cafe.
Feb. 1 – 28, Dezer Collection auto museum located at 2000 N.E. 146 Street, North Miami (305) 354-7680 open daily from 10 – 6 p.m. has one of the largest collections in the country of classic vehicles, including celebrity classics and many bat-mobiles.
Feb. 1 – 28, Miami Metrozoo located at 12400 S.W. 152 Street, Miami (305) 251-0400 has a series of events throughout the month of February. Cat nap camp-out night will take place on Sunday Feb. 9. National geographic exhibits and other upcoming events will take place throughout the month.
Feb. 1 – 28, The Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, located at 1300 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami (305) 949-6722 has ongoing events throughout the entire year – concerts, opera, ballet and theatrical plays.
Feb. 1 – 28, South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center, located at 10950 S.W. 211 Street, Miami (786) 573-5613 is an eco-friendly state of the art facility that offers ongoing performances, concerts and Broadway shows.
