There is never a bottom line to the extent of animal cruelty and neglect in this world, and whoever abandoned this scared mother dog on the streets of Miami ready to give birth is beyond despicable.
Now named Sandra, (A1553973), this three-year-old terrier mix nurses her four puppies at the Miami Dade County Animal Shelter where she and her family are on the "Code Red" list; that is the saddest list to be on because it means mother and babies will be euthanized because their "hold" period has expired, and no one has come forward to claim or adopt them.
The Facebook page, Urgent Dogs of Miami has been spreading the desperate plight of this beautiful family among friends, but no one has yet to step up and offer a safe haven or a foster home. Their story has been shared 1,000 times.
