If you're traveling to Boston over a Wednesday, make it a point to visit the Museum of Fine Arts. Largely accessible with the MBTA (take Green Line's E train to MFA stop), it is one of the world's most comprehensive museums with nearly 450,000 works of art. According to their website, the museum welcomes over one million visitors annually, who come from all over the world to enjoy art from ancient Egyptian to contemporary, special exhibitions, and innovative educational programs.
Currently, the MFA is offering by donation only general admission to visitors on Wednesdays after 4pm (suggested donation is $20).
465 Huntington Ave., Boston
General Information: 617-267-9300
Didi's Note: While you're at the MFA enjoy dinner at the museum's award winning restaurant, Bravo. I personally have not been, but you can make reservations through OpenTable and try it out. And if you are taking a car, parking is free for dining patrons after 5pm! (for those who don't know, free parking is a big deal in Boston)
