Strawberries Mexicano Dip
It’s almost Spring…and almost time for Texas-grown strawberries. Here’s a great dip for them that’s perfect for upcoming graduation brunches, showers, and Sunday morning with the family.
1-2 pints of large strawberries (I keep the stems on.) Or you can hull them. Just be sure to rinse and dry them well.
1 cup of whipping cream
1 cup of sour cream (or consider non-fat plain Greek yogurt)
1 cup brown sugar
¼ tsp. vanilla
¼ tsp. nutmeg
3 Tbsp. coffee-flavored liqueur
Combine all ingredients except for the strawberries. Whip until slightly thickened. Chill until ready to serve.
Serve in a bowl surrounded by the berries. Or place hulled strawberries in sherbet glasses and spoon sauce/dip over.
