“Metro Redux,” a compilation of remastered and enhanced versions of 4A Games’ “Metro:2033 and “Metro: Last Light,” is now available on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Steam, the game’s publisher Deep Silver said in a press release obtained by Examiner.
Based on the internationally bestselling novel Metro 2033 by Dmitry Glukhovsky, both games in the series have received praise from gamers and critics. "Metro: 2033" has sold 740,000 combined copies on the XBox 360 and PC since its initial release in 2010, according to video games sales tracker VGChartz.com. The next game in the series, “Metro: Last Light," released in 2012, also sold 740,000 combined units on the PC, XBox 360 and PlayStation 3.
According to 4A, "Metro: 2033 Redux" is completely rebuilt to run in 4A’s newest engine, while “Metro: Last Light” was significantly updated as well. “Last Light” also have a new “Survival Mode,” while both games will feature the uber difficult “Ranger” mode, which strips out the games’ Heads Up Display and is a virtual hardcore free-for-all.
According to the game's publisher Deep Silver, the "Survival Mode" features less ammo, slower reload speed and quicker enemies.
