Metro Detroit gearing up for Arts, Beats, and Eats

It's not the end of the summer season until back-to-school commercials air and the gasoline-laced highways are saturated with cars packed full of families and friends heading out for the Labor Day weekend. But we don't know any other way to properly end another summer than with the annual Arts, Beats, and Eats festival in Downtown Royal Oak from August 29th - September 1st.

Presented by FirstMerit Bank, the festival is in its 17th year and continues to gain wide recognition as the premier destination for Labor Day weekend. With a fine arts show, hundreds of performances by big name and indie artists, and more food options than you can imagine, it's no wonder it attracts thousands.

It was back in November of 2009 that Arts, Beats, and Eats announced that it would make its move from Pontiac to Downtown Royal Oak. And while there were mixed reviews about the move, there's no denying its positive impact. That first year in its new host city, over 400,000 people attended, raising money for local charities, and exposing a wide variety of artists, restaurants, and musicians to potential new fans and business.

Providing great family entertainment at an affordable cost, Arts, Beats, and Eats gives Metro Detroiters more of what they love.
