Metric performs tonight at Warehouse Live

While still fitting the technical definition of "indie" by self-releasing their latest album, Metric has enjoyed near-mainstream success. Vocalist Emily Haines is known for numerous other bands and projects, most notably as part of the popular indie band Broken Social Scene, whose members also participate in Stars. She has released two solo albums as Emily Haines and the Soft Skeleton and has collaborated with numerous other indie artists.

Metric's latest album, Fantasies, was released this year in April. It consists of somewhat generic pop rock with occasional standout tracks...I would go so far as to say it sounds like something you might hear on MTV. Still, for $20 this show is your best bet for a good live performance to warm you up on a cold, wet Monday night.
