The next time Jennifer Krogman teaches dance, it may be behind bars. The Huffington Post on Aug. 19 that 40-year-old middle school teacher Jennifer Krogman was arrested at her home after it was discovered that she was packaging a small amount of meth to be sent out of California by mail.
Her arrest was for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled substance. Following her arrest on a Wednesday, Krogman was placed on paid administrative, following the school's policy of matters involving criminal charges. According to Redlands Patch, she was released Thursday.
The Huffington Post notes that Krogman isn't the only teacher in the district to have demonstrated some less than exemplary behavior. In 2012 Laura Whitehurst gave birth to a child whose father was one of her students. She was arrested and pleaded guilty.
There’s no word as to how the teacher was caught meth-handed or which controlled substance she was under. The offense occurred before the school year resumed.
