Metaphysics 101: What is a Lightworker?

Wesak Full Moon - a time of influx of light

A Lightworker is one who works with and for the light.  Just as the green movement is gaining momentum around the planet, so is the concern or love for the planet and for all inhabitants expressed by many who consider themselves Lightworkers.

A Lightworker may meditate on sending love, light, joy, peace, and the highest vibrations to people, situations, or the Earth.

A Lightworker may act as an energy healer, in person or across distances.

A Lightworker may concentrate on raising their vibration and just being or beaming the light of the Universe wherever they go.

A Lightworker may listen to and follow inner guidance in their actions and interactions in the world.

A Lightworker may travel during their sleep time to assist others.

A Lightworker may participate in particular events that bring together a collective of people to draw in healing and higher vibrational frequencies for the evolution of the planet and all beings.

Lightworkers often have to overcome a number of psychological and circumstantial challenges to awaken to their compassionate, loving natures.

Lightworkers do not necessarily do a particular action, they just be their loving selves (even when they are grumpy, ornery, hateful, and going through life-altering crises).

If you feel like you are alive, at least partly, to help uplift the planet, then you, indeed, are a Lightworker.  You do not need to earn anything, prove anything, sacrifice anything.  Just allow yourself to be your fullest self.
