Hordes: Metamorphosis officially hit store shelves yesterday, and already there is a lot of buzz about what's inside the cover. New units, story line, and other hobby goodies are available in both softcover and hardcover special edition formats.
But the release of Metamorphosis also has some gamers wondering if they should by this latest release due to feelings that it will be "outdated" in about a year. Warmachine Mk. II, and the subsequent announcements about Hordes Mk. II has caused some unrest and ill feelings towards Privateer Press concerning releasing Metamorphosis after the announcements of the new game editions.
But, like many Middle Tennessee gamers already do, if you can find a source online to buy Hordes: Metamorphosis you might not feel the sting of the sticker price so much compared to those who buy it in the store. So if your thoughts trend more towards feeling ripped off that a supplement has been released so soon to being rendered incompatible with the new version of the game but still want it, I would recommend seeking a copy from an online dealer.
