Additional gameplay details were revealed for the upcoming “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain,” which is being released for multiple systems. According to a report by Metal Gear Informer on Oct. 26, players will be able to skip time in the open-world action-adventure video game.
In a podcast, Hideo Kojima confirmed that Snake can speed up time by simply smoking a cigar. A watch will appear to show how much of the day has passed. The day-night cycle is one of the new elements being implemented in “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.” As a result, players can choose to play a mission during any time of the day they want. You can check out some screens of the time skipping feature, along with several other shots, in the slideshow near the top of this article.
The game director also teased that Snake can bring a companion with him at select missions. The partner will be wearing the same armor as the main playable character. However, he did not disclose if this feature is for the single-player camping, online cooperative multiplayer or both.
