First off, let's clear up the confusion ladies and gentlemen. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain are two separate games. The former is a prologue to the the latter and will be released on March 18, 2014. It will be released on PS3, PS4, XBox One, and Xbox360. Only digital versions of the game will be available for PS3 and 360 owners for a price of $20. The newest and latest consoles gives gamers the freedom of choosing between digital or hard copy for $30. Hideo Kojima really wanted this to be one game but cited that complications internally made it so that it was split into two games.
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will be featuring console exclusive missions so that fan boys can rage and debate further on which consoles are better. For those not in the know, PlayStation 3 and 4 owners have access to the "Deja Vu" mission where you play as Metal Gear Solid Snake. Xbox One and 360 owners will be treated to the "Jamais Vu" mission. The real question is this: will there be lightning fast naked cartwheels in this mission.
For those that need a refresher on the story: this new Metal Gear revolves around Big Boss infiltrating a compound in Cuba. His goal is to rescue Paz Ortega Andrade and Chico Libre. These Metal Gear V games are supposed to reveal a dramatic change in Big Boss's character, which is assumed to be the reason why he's the final boss for the original Metal Gear game.
P.S. David Hayter will definitely be missed.
