Konami Digital Entertainment has announced that the upcoming multiplatform video game, “Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes,” will be coming to retail discs on the PS4 and Xbox One. According to a report from Gamer Exchange on Dec. 10, the publisher will be selling physical copies of the next-generation version at a premium price.
“Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes” will be priced at $39.99 for the PS4 and Xbox One at retail stores. The price tag is $10 more than the downloadable version. On the other hand, the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions only cost $19.99 digitally and $29.99 when sold on discs. Konami Digital Entertainment is planning to include additional bonus content for the retail release, which may explain the pricing disparity. You can find some screenshots from the prequel in the slideshow to the left of this article and the description of the prices below:
The game will be available in retail stores nationwide on current generation systems for the MSRP of $29.99 or via download for $19.99. For Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PlayStation 4 systems, the game will be available for the MSRP of $39.99 for the retail version or via download for $29.99.
“Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes” is designed to introduce players into the gameplay and story of the upcoming “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain,” which isn’t coming out for a long time. The former title is once again set in the past as it will be starring Big Boss.
Konami Digital Entertainment will be releasing “Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes” for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One platforms on March 18, 2014.
