'Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes' to give players more freedom than ever before (Photos)

"Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes" is one of the more anticipated games for this year, and the head of the project said he wants to give gamers more freedom in this one, than any other title has before.

According to a report from OPM on Friday, "Ground Zeroes'" Hideo Kojima described how exactly he wants to give gamers the most freedom they've ever had in a game.

"My ultimate goal is to give players even more freedom, not only to figure out how they’re going to get there but really have everything factor into it.

"So, do you want to get there by helicopter, or do you want to get there by plane, are you going to ride in a vehicle, or are you going to take a bike? Basically have all of these options available to the player.

"As far as stealth is concerned, you don’t normally just start in a building. If you look at spy and action movies, how the hero gets to that point is a very important part of the story and part of the action. Do they get there by plane or by some sort of disguise? There are many ways you can approach that element of infiltration," Kojima said.

You can bet gamers will accept a greater feeling of freedom in this next "Metal Gear Solid" installment. This is one of the most beloved franchises in gaming, and Kojima certainly realizes that fact.

"Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes" making gamers find their way to where their target is will definitely be an good experience for people, and the concept holds plenty of promise in the way of originality and playability.

Kojima then talked about how he wants to take all of the rails off of this next game and provide players with a truly open-world experience.

"Up until now 'Metal Gear' has more or less been set on one path. Like you’re set on one rail to get from point A to point B, with a certain amount of freedom between.

"What I want to do is create a true open world experience. Where the player has all these options available to them and really limitless gameplay. That’s what I’m trying to accomplish with my next project, 'Ground Zeroes,'" Kojima said.

Open-worlds have been one of the greater aspects to franchises like "Assassin's Creed" and "Grand Theft Auto." They provide more freedom for players to choose their own way of getting a certain objective in a game done.

"Ground Zeroes" will surely be a can't miss title when it hits retailers, hopefully within the next year.
