Kojima Productions posted a job listing on the website Gamasutra on Feb. 15, 2013, looking for project engineers for “the latest “Metal Gear Solid” targeted for high-end consoles and PC”. They will be at the Game Developers Conference in March, where they will be looking for talented people to join them on the game. They’re also looking for a brand manager, and want engineers to work on next-gen game engine technology, for their proprietary Fox Engine.
Presumably this will be for a game on the PlayStation 4, or the Xbox 720, and may even be “Ground Zeroes” but it hasn’t been confirmed that it’s going to be on a next-gen system. Hideo Kojima is slated to show off a demonstration of the Fox Engine running “Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes” at the GDC conference.
No release date has yet been revealed for “Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes”, but it’s a pretty safe bet to assume that more information, possibly including a release date and what systems it’ll be available on, will come at GDC 2013.
Check back for more updates as they become available.
