Hideo Kojima has further commented about the interactivity aspects of the PS4 and Xbox 720. According to a report by ComputerAndVideoGames on March 1, the game director of the upcoming “Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes” disclosed that he is more interested in how the next-generation system will let players interactive with games through devices such as smart phones and tablets. But what I'm really more interested in is other ways of expanding into the next generation - a more horizontal expansion, where you're going to be doing things online, more of a social aspect. People will be able to interact with the game through various devices, through various media - such as tablets, smart phones, etc.

The PS4, which was announced on Feb. 20, and the rumored Xbox 720 are expected to come out sometime later this holiday season in the North American region.

Kojima Productions is currently developing “Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes” for the PS3 and Xbox 360 current-generation consoles. No release date has been announced. Hideo Kojima previously hinted that the upcoming “Metal Gear Solid” video game could also be coming to the PS4 and Xbox 720.
