‘Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes’ director talks creativity and sales (Photos)

Hideo Kojima has made a few comments in regards to the upcoming multiplatform title, “Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes.” According to a report by Videogaming247 on Feb. 22, the game director revealed that the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 video game will be dealing with several “mature” and “taboo” themes. Although the subjects could hinder sales, he will be wouldn’t sacrifice creativity in order for the product to sell more. As a producer it’s my job to try and sell the game, but I’m approaching this project from the point of view as a creator. I’m prioritising creativity over sales.

Hideo Kojima and the rest of his team at Kojima Productions are responsible for the development of “Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes.” The upcoming title takes place after the events of “Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker” and will lead up to the plot for “Metal Gear Solid 5.” It will be released by Konami Digital Entertainment for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.
