With "Metal Gear Solid 5" still being a game that fans think is coming, but hasn't been announced yet, people can at least take solace in the fact that Kojima will be the one leading its production.
According to the unofficial site for "Metal Gear Solid" on Saturday, Kojima Productions boss Hideo Kojima talked about how future installments in the "Metal Gear Solid" will always be developed by himself and at Kojima Prodcutions.
"Numbered titles in the series will always be created by myself, or at least created at Kojima Productions," Kojima said.
There still is no release date for the upcoming game, "Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes," but many are beginning to think the wait is for the title to hit next-generation consoles.
Recently, he talked about what he plans to achieve with the new Fox Engine and how it may be involved with next-generation consoles.
"I can’t share much details about it yet, but the new engine is built towards not only having better visual quality, but also better functionality that will allow new kinds of gaming experiences, UI, playability, etc., and that is something we at Kojima Productions are working at, and some of which will be incorporated into 'Ground Zeroes.'
"In terms of technology, FOX Engine is very efficient and that’s one of our focus as well.
"We are continually trying to make it as efficient as possible, and with it, we can develop games in much shorter time period than ever possible before," Kojima said.
