"Metal Gear Solid 5" has yet to be announced, despite rumors and reports alleging its existence, but the creator of the franchise spoke about the current development stage for the upcoming game "Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes."
According to a report from VG24/7 on Friday, Hideo Kojima of Kojima Productions took the time to talk about his upcoming title "Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes."
Kojima discussed how this next installment in the "Metal Gear Solid" franchise will be confronting a lot of taboos that are going to be risky.
"I’m going to be treading a lot of taboos, and a lot of mature themes that really are quite risky.
"Honestly, I’m not even sure if I’ll be able to release the game. Even if I did release the game, maybe it wouldn’t sell because it’s all too much.
"But as a creator I want to take that risk.
"As a producer it’s my job to try and sell the game, but I’m approaching this project from the point of view as a creator. I’m prioritising creativity over sales," Kojima said.
There hasn't been much news lately in the way of "Ground Zeroes" but this could be a good sign for gamers that Kojima is getting back into discussing specifics of the game.
