Metal Gear Rising's PS3-Exclusive DLC detailed

It seems like Sony fans will be getting a little extra love when they pick up Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance later this month.

Earlier today, the U.S. Playstation Blog revealed a wealth of information concerning the latest Metal Gear's console-exclusive downloadable content.

Based on the Virtual Reality missions of previous games (namely Metal Gear Solid 2), the DLC places Raiden in virtual arenas filled with enemies. Depending on the challenge, Raiden will be tasked with stealthily eliminating his foes, using a specific weapon, or simply making it through the level as quickly as possible. On top of all that, players will be given the chance to control the somewhat-terrifying Dwarf Gekko through some of the bonus missions.

There's no word about pricing quite yet, but given that the content is exclusive to Sony's platform, free DLC isn't out of the question.

The original story can be found on the PlayStaion Blog, and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance launches on February 22, 2013.
