The release date for the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance demo was announced yesterday, along with a new, 7-minute trailer for the game, featured on GameSpot, which you can check out below. In development at Kojima Productions and Platinum Games, the demo will be released on January 22.
The demo will introduce players to the first chapter of Revengeance with protagonist Raiden. It has already been released in Japan and launched with the Zone of the Enders HD late last year, but players who have not yet had the chance to get their hands on the game's spine-splitting goodness will get the opportunity with a free download for both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. Konami did not mention whether Raiden's Cyborg Ninja garb or any of the other previously-showcased skins would be included.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is due out in the US for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 19, Jan. 22 for Europe, and Jan. 21 as a PS3-only title in Japan.
