A brief comparison has been made in regards to the cut scenes in “Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots” and the upcoming multiplatform title, “Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.” According to a report by the unofficial Metal Gear Solid website on Jan. 27, “Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance” will have “much shorter” cut scenes than “Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.” Furthermore, the footage will be less “essential” to the plot in the new Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 video game. “Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots” was released exclusively for the Playstation 3 console in North America on June 12, 2008. “Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance” is a spin-off title set four years after the events of the fourth main title in the ”Metal Gear Solid” series. The new game will be released by Konami Digital Entertainment for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on Feb. 19, 2013.
