Messy mix of snow and ice likely today (Video)

A storm over western Ohio this morning will track northeastward to Ontario by this evening. Precipitation in the form of snow, sleet, and freezing rain will overspread the area this morning and continue into the afternoon hours. Some accumulation of ice and snow is possible and roads could be treacherous.

This afternoon temperatures will warm to the mid 30s in most areas, however a few of the colder valleys could stay near or below freezing. In these areas, significant icing is possible.

The storm will move to our north tonight, dragging a cold front eastward across northwestern Pennsylvania late tonight. Scattered rain showers or mixed precipitation this evening will change to snow showers overnight. Lows tonight will dip into the 20s.

Scattered snow showers are likely on Tuesday with highs in the low 30s. Some light accumulations are possible, especially across the higher terrain.

A disturbance will cross the region Tuesday night and Wednesday. Snow showers will persist with possibly a little contribution from the lake. Lows Tuesday night will be in the low 20s with highs Wednesday in the upper 20s.
