Meshach Taylor of "Designing Women" was terminally ill from cancer and now news is out that this actor has passed away. On Sunday, People shared the news that he was on hospice care and they knew things were not going well when he died. He was luckily surrounded by family including his wife, children and mother. His son was the one who shared the news.

The family went to Facebook sharing the news that he wasn't doing well saying, "It is with love and gratitude that we sorrowfully announce that our darling, amazingly brilliant and dynamic Meshach, the incredible father, husband, son and friend has begun his grand transition. Our friends who know and love us, please offer your prayers for his peace and blazing light as he ascends to the heavens. Those who need to call the family please do. Those who desire to post memories, we are open and graciously accepting all gestures of peace. Love, the Taylor family."

He is also known for his part on the movie "Mannequin." Fans loved Meshach Taylor and are shocked to hear the news of his death. Rumors started to fly yesterday that he had died after the news came out about how bad his health was doing. These were just rumors though because it came out before he had actually passed away late last night. He died around 10 p.m.

There is no information yet about the funeral or if the family will be allowing fans to come to the service. Meshach Taylor will be missed by many. Make sure you check TV to see if you can find some his older shows and movies. This is a great way remember him.
