To be sure, Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep, who starred together in "August: Osage County," showed the two were quite the movie stars as they posed together outside Barker Hanger where the annual gathering was held.

This quintessentially glamorous pair appeared to be having fun during this traditional awards show saunter as Meryl and Julia held hands and almost skipped down the sartorial runway for the Critics' Choice Awards 2014.

Julia was wearing a whimsical gown and a pair of classic Ray-Bans while Meryl was rocking a more modern pair of shades that complimented her very long pair of elegant earrings.

And so, as Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts practically threw shade on Critics' Choice Awards 2014 on Jan. 16, the two celebrities were wearing diva type shades in order to do so.
