Two of Hollywood's most prominent actresses are coming together to make something funny.
Entertainment Tonight reports that Meryl Streep and Tina Fey will play mother and daughter in the Stanley Tucci-directed comedy Mommy & Me. Though the film's plot is being kept secret, according to ET it promises to "spotlight the thorny and funny sides of mother-daughter relationships."
Streep was recently nominated for an Academy Award for her portrayal of Julia Child in Julie & Julia, which costarred Tucci as Child's husband Paul. Fey, who cut her comic teeth as a member of Chicago's Second City comedy troupe, received three Emmy nominations this year for her work on Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock.
