This may be the year for "Dancing with the Stars." The 2014 Emmy nominations were announced early morning Thursday, July 10, and the dance competition received three nominations. However, some believe that three nominations weren't enough. Right after the nominations were announced, Meryl Davis tweeted that Maksim Chmerkovskiy also deserves a nomination.

The show itself was nominated for Best Reality-Competition show, host Tom Bergeron was nominated for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Show, and Derek Hough was nominated for Outstanding Choreography for three of his dance routines from last season.

Meryl, an Olympic figure skater medalist who won the 18th season with pro dancer Maks, tweeted congratulations to the show, Tom and Derek. She added that she would have liked to see Maks' name up there as well. Many people replied to her tweet to say that they absolutely agree that Maks should have received a nomination.

One person who may not agree with Meryl Davis on Maksim Chmerkovskiy is Abby Lee Miller, who had some harsh words for Meryl and Maksim when she guest judged the show last season. Despite some very heated opinions on Abby from both the show's participants and viewers, they may very well see her again. In an interview with OK! Magazine, posted on Tuesday, July 8, Abby said that she would absolutely guest judge the show again, despite feeling ambushed by the pro dancers' criticisms of her, which she felt was a publicity stunt.

She also revealed that she has been asked to be a contestant on the show. She said that she has been approached to be a contestant for two seasons in a row. However, the dance competition and her own reality TV show film at the exact same time for parts of the week.

Abby Lee Miller added that the only reason why she was able to serve as a guest judge was because it was on Monday night, when there's no filming for her own show. So it sounds as if filming was moved or her own show was canceled, she would definitely sign up to put on dancing shoes and be judged herself.
