Meredith Vieira takes time to deal with her husband and his Multiple Sclerosis

Meredith Vieira, the popular TV personality, has taken some time off of her upwardly-mobile career to deal with the diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis that her husband has. She talked about it this week on Dr. Oz's health show.

Vieira's husband is a writer and TV producer Richard Cohen who for a time had a talk show on the radio.

She walked away from The Today Show after her husband's diagnosis. She was also on The View, and she was host for 11 seasons of Who Wants to be a Millionaire?

The diagnosis was not new. Cohen was diagnosed with the disease before they were married, when he was only 25 years old. The couple have been married for 20 years and have three children.

Cohen has also dealt with colon cancer.

She is now 52, and is dealing with a lot of stress as her husband's condition gets worse.

He is now taking one of the newer interferons to control the illness, and he has a popular autobiography "Blindsided: Lifting a Life Above Illness."
