Everyone dreads a Mercury retrograde, whether you're part of a company that handles payment through credit cards, a phone-stricken businessman, an excellent travel agent, well-organized post office worker, a cautious commuter, or even a housewife who spends her free time on the computer; Mercury retrogrades are a large annoyance in our electronically-fueled lifestyle! When Mercury goes into retrograde, the world seems to go with it!
A retrograde occurs when a planet appears to slow down in the sky and travel backwards for a duration of time before correcting itself and moving forward once more. This is caused by the way we perceive the planets as we, ourselves, spin through the galaxy both as a species on a planet and as a planet in a solar system. During this time, the traits of that planet begin to go haywire! Those mishaps are even worse if you're born under the sign ruled by that planet!
Mercury rules over communication, travel, the mind, electronics, and swiftness. During the retrograde, there tends to be dropped phone calls, dropped phones, more missed calls than normal, car trouble, interrupted travel plans, fuzzy thinking, forgetfulness, increased moodiness, lost mail, broken computers, falling TVs, and more. Essentially anything that is used for what Mercury rules tends to be in trouble. When the time comes, become cautious and protect your items.
